Heartist Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, serve the same purposes. We use the term “cookies” for all of them.

2. What Heartist uses

Heartist uses only the cookies it needs to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not load third-party analytics.

  • af_session and af_refresh (cookies, until the session ends, at most 7 days after you sign in): keep you signed in. HttpOnly and never readable by scripts.
  • af_artist (cookie, 1 year): remembers which artist you are working on when you manage several.
  • af_tz (cookie, 1 year): remembers your time zone so “today” and follow-up times match your day.
  • af_oauth_state (cookie, 10 minutes): protects the sign-in with Google or Facebook against forged requests, and is removed right after.
  • Local storage on your device: the player's queue and position, so music resumes where you left it, and the billing details you choose to remember at checkout, per account.

These are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for, so under the ePrivacy rules they do not need your consent. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, those providers set their own cookies on their own pages; see their policies.

3. Cookie settings

Because Heartist only uses necessary cookies, there is nothing to switch on or off here. If this ever changes, you will be asked before any optional cookie is set, and you will find the choices on this page.

You can always delete cookies and local storage from your browser's settings, or block them. Without the session cookie you will be signed out, and parts of the Service that need an account will not work.
